Jerry Kent

Jerry has been involved with Charterhouse and its portfolio companies since 1983 and currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Suddenlink, a Fund IV portfolio company and his fifth investment in partnership with Charterhouse. During his 27-year history with the Firm, Jerry has been CEO and director of several prior successful portfolio companies, including two of the largest investments made by Charterhouse (AAT Communications and Charter Communications). In aggregate, Charterhouse has generated $857.0 million of proceeds on four realized investments with a cost basis of $253 million with Jerry, which has resulted in an overall 3.4x multiple on invested capital and a 49% IRR. Jerry continues to be actively involved with Charterhouse in sourcing and evaluating transactions and entrepreneurs.

 
Cees de Bruin

Cees has been a Charterhouse Entrepreneur and long-term investor and advisor to Charterhouse and its funds since 1986. In 1968, he founded, Indofin Group, a diversified international investment company. Indofin is actively involved in private equity investing and the management of companies in Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia and Asia. During his affiliation with Charterhouse, Cees has identified and sourced investment opportunities for the Firm.

Paul Mullan has been a Charterhouse Entrepreneur since 1989 and has been Chairman, CEO or a director of nine of the Firm's portfolio companies in the Consumer Products and Services and Business Services sectors. He currently serves as a director of Charter Baking, a Fund IV portfolio company. With a 21-year history as a Charterhouse Entrepreneur, Paul assists the Firm in developing and cultivating relationships with other Charterhouse Entrepreneurs and in further developing the Entrepreneur Network. Paul served as CEO of two successful Fund I portfolio companies, Fleer Corp and Del Monte Foods, where Charterhouse's investments generated multiples on invested capital of 19.0x and 4.2x, and IRRs of 296% and 23%, respectively. Most recently, he served as Chairman of Amerifit Brands, Inc., a buildup of branded natural wellness products that was sold in February 2010 to a strategic buyer. Charterhouse realized a 2.6 multiple and a 20% IRR on the investment.

 
Dan Bergstein

Dan Bergstein has been associated with Charterhouse portfolio companies for 20 years, including the Firm's multiple successful investments in cable television. Dan has been a director of several portfolio companies and, as a member of our Entrepreneur Network, has brought numerous investment opportunities to Charterhouse throughout the years including Mx Energy, Inc. a Fund IV portfolio company. Dan was also directly responsible for identifying a buyer and assisting the Firm in exiting from AllianceOne, Inc., a Fund III portfolio company.

 
Bill Marraccini

Bill Marraccini was introduced to Charterhouse in 1997 through our Entrepreneur Network and currently serves as Chairman of NewPath Networks, Inc., a Fund IV portfolio company. Bill was also the founder and a director of AAT Communications, a Fund III portfolio company in which Charterhouse realized a 2.5x multiple and a 26% IRR on its $151 million investment. Over the years, Bill has founded several very successful communication services businesses, including NewPath which he had presented to Charterhouse for consideration as a platform investment.

 
Howard Deutsch

Howard became a Charterhouse Entrepreneur in 1998 and is currently involved in assisting the Firm in evaluating Healthcare Services businesses. Howard previously served as Chairman and CEO of MP TotalCare, a Fund III portfolio company. Howard began evaluating healthcare services opportunities with Charterhouse after he was directed to the Firm through a member of our Entrepreneur Network. Howard identified MP TotalCare as a buildup platform in the specialty pharmaceutical outsourcing market. Over a six year period, MP TotalCare became one of the nation's leading diversified chronic care specialty healthcare suppliers and was sold to a larger financial sponsor, with Charterhouse realizing a 2.4x multiple on its invested capital and a 27% IRR.

 
Joseph Boshart

Joseph has been involved with Charterhouse since 1998 and serves as CEO of Cross Country Healthcare, a Fund III portfolio company. In addition to managing Cross Country, Joe has introduced us to numerous Charterhouse Entrepreneur candidates and potential investment opportunities throughout the years. Charterhouse's $78 million investment in Cross Country has resulted in a 3.3x multiple on invested capital and a 35% IRR. Joe continues to work with the Firm in evaluating healthcare services opportunities.

 
Christopher J. Garcia

Chris Garcia was introduced to Charterhouse in 2001 and currently serves as Chairman of several Fund IV Healthcare Services businesses. Previously, he served as Chairman of Lason, a Fund IV portfolio company which was sold in February 2007, with Charterhouse realizing a 4.7x multiple on invested capital and an 82% IRR. Chris met Charterhouse while selling his business, National Healthcare Resources, an outsourced medical claims management and insurance services provider which he founded in 1992 and as CEO, built through acquisition and organic growth. While Charterhouse did not acquire NHR, the Firm remained in contact with Chris and he became a Charterhouse Entrepreneur in 2003.

 
Steve Mintz

Steve Mintz became a Charterhouse Entrepreneur in 2004 and is involved with the Firm's Consumer Products and Services efforts, with specialized knowledge in the food category. He currently serves as Chairman of Charter Baking, a Fund IV portfolio company. Steve was instrumental in developing the strategy to execute a buildup in the organic and natural bread category and was introduced to Charterhouse through a member of our Entrepreneur Network. Steve identified the initial platform for Charter Baking as well as several add-ons and continues to assist Charterhouse in sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities and entrepreneurs.

 
Roger Gibson

Roger Gibson became a Charterhouse Entrepreneur in 2005 and serves as Chairman of Towne Air Freight, Inc., a Fund IV portfolio company. Roger was introduced to Charterhouse through our Entrepreneur outreach program as the Firm was searching for an executive who could assist in sourcing and evaluating logistics and transportation companies. Roger assisted with identifying and evaluating Towne. Having spent 37 years as an executive in the transportation industry, his extensive industry knowledge and contacts continue to be valuable in assisting Charterhouse in evaluating logistics opportunities.

 
Jane Miller

Jane Miller is one of Charterhouse's newest Entrepreneurs, having been introduced to Charterhouse in 2008 through our Entrepreneur Network during the search for an outside board member for Charter Baking, a Fund IV portfolio company. She currently serves as CEO and as a director of Charter Baking. Jane is a highly seasoned executive with deep sales and direct-store-distribution experience in both the bread and broader consumer packaged goods industries and assists Charterhouse in evaluating opportunities in the consumer food sector.
