The Company has market leading positions throughout the Southeastern U.S. (including Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Alabama and others) in addition to business in Texas, Arizona and Utah. The Company is focused on providing high quality services oriented toward generating positive patient outcomes while maintaining cost effective treatment programs. In addition, through its subsidiary, Preferred Therapy Providers, the Company enables access to managed care and indemnity insurance contracts for more than 1100 outpatient rehabilitation locations.
High fragmentation, an increasing trend toward outpatient care and frequent injuries from the aging baby boomer generation are several of the key factors driving growth and consolidation across the outpatient physical therapy market. Upstream expects to continue leveraging its presence in regional markets with organic growth, de novo development and add-on acquisitions.
